“After experiencing the hard lock down, I challenged the thoughts and feelings of the others around me as well as myself into this artwork. I drew inspiration from pictures that were taken from outside the buildings and the dialog that occurred inside the building as well. I collected photos and videos from the community to use as a reference for my artwork before delving into creating a sort of cartoon version of the events that occurred.

The first image is that of the 9 towers building windows and it reflects the requests people communicated through their windows. The faint hands seen on the windows represent the hours residents spent waiting at their windows trying to figure out what was happening.

The second is an illustration of the stairwell area of the flats and along the wall are the words and phrases that echoed through the hallways during this difficult time.”
