“Faded, but still there” is a series of seven digital works exploring the notion of home – it can be a physical place where one can live, but it can also refer to the community, online forums and memories that trigger nostalgia.

Pandemic situation, home isolation, inability to reunite with family, and politics have pushed people, who are away from homes, to seek out online forums, where they share their experience, memories and images of their hometowns to stay connected.

Based on my recent experience from these online forums and my ongoing art research on memory, I have collaged short poems, film photos and scratched cellophane works to metaphorically reimagine and retrace homes of mine and others.”
