Jeremy Nguyen is a Vietnamese-Australian writer from Melbourne who has written for screen (NBC Universal, SBS Australia, Seven Australia, Matchbox Pictures, December Media), stage (Melbourne Theatre Company, Malthouse Theatre), radio (ABC), and print (Black, Inc., The Australian Financial Review). In 2020, Jeremy was a Best Miniseries double nominee for the Australian Film Institute’s AACTA Awards and the Australian Writers Guild’s AWGIE Awards for the SBS miniseries HUNGRY GHOSTS (Matchbox Pictures/NBC Universal). He shared these nominations with his brother Alan Nguyen, with whom he frequently co-writes and collaborates. He is also an academic with a PhD from The Australian National University. Having previously worked at The Reserve Bank of Australia and The Brookings Institution (Washington, D.C.), he regularly publishes peer-reviewed studies and teaches Machine Learning, Data Science, and Economics.
