Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi (violin) with Sridhar Chari (mrdangam)
A fifth generation musician of the illustrious Lalgudi bani, Vijayalakshmi, daughter-disciple of legendary (late) Lalgudi Jayaraman, is an artist who engages deeply and variedly with her music, performing solo, duet and collaborating across genres. Sridhar Chari has been associated with the Australian music scene for the past three decades, as a leading percussionist for Indian Classical music, a passionate flautist, a teacher at his own institution, Laya Vidya Centre and a tireless promoter of the arts.

In a journey of Indian Classical Music for the past 15 years, David Balaban mesmerizes his audience with the sitar for his tonal quality and soul ambiance. He is a student of Sri Sugato Nag who belongs to the “Etawah” and “Senia-Shahjahanpore Gharanas”.
