KWABO Festival: Art'spress Yourself Workshops and Showcase

KWABO EVENTS invites you for 6 weeks of cultural exchange and self-expression from the 12th of August. Choose your work of art to reflect, explore and express your cultural identity.

KWABO Festival returns from the 12th August to 23rd September 2023. This year the program includes 6-week artist led incubator program in 3 different artforms culminating with two public events held as part of the actions for International Day for Peace on the weekend of 21 & 23 September.

The workshops:

• Afrodance & Storytelling led by Gracieuse Amah, every Saturday at VCA Studio 1.
• Spoken Word led by Vanessa Crampel, every Sunday at Runner Up Rooftop.
• Multimedia (Film and Photography) led by Priya Namana every Sunday at Composite.

No skills or experience needed, all you need is to come with an open mind and heart. Be ready to embark in a fun, dynamic yet reflective cultural journey.

Your cultural heritage is your strength, your richness, and a crucial piece in shaping the collective. You all have a role to play in writing our collective story of belonging. Celebrate the power of coming together as one.
