Judges will be choosing a winner based on performance skills, talent, originality and presentation with a first prize of $500 and prizes for runners up.

Produced with support from MAV and The Push, the Lakeside Hustle stage will showcase artists who have been involved with a self-determined platform for local young artists of colour, Heard Instinct Collective.

Heard Instinct Collective is a creative collective for young artists of colour to learn with peers and with professional artists and producers, to  share stories and ideas, develop skills in songwriting, arranging recording, and to raise visibility and voice for young people of colour in the region through public performances.

Support for this event has come from The Push via the Victorian Government Community Support Fund as well as MAV and Australia Council for the Arts.
