MAV’s latest program NEWPRINT is a brand-new platform all about supporting artists of colour living in outer urban and regional areas.
The program will kick off with an end-of-year, end-of-lockdown live music show, NEWPRINT: BLOCK 30, in Shepparton on Friday 10 Dec 2021 @ 5pm.
Shepparton is home to a growing music scene right now and our Shepparton NEWPRINT producers, Ree and Yungkily, have programmed an amazing line up of talent from their communities including: Mr C | The Nesian 5 | Hoodie 4L | Dorcas | Madi Colville Walker | Lillie Walker | DJ Rivity Rascal
The show will be an all ages-friendly affair, outdoors by the lake, with a local food truck and Amazing Race Award Winners “Nanna Marce” selling their delicious street foods made with love. There’ll also be donuts, coffee, cold drinks for sale.
NEWPRINT ushers in a new generation of boundary-pushing creatives who dream bigger, who are the future of live music programming in Australia. This will be just the first of many shows to come in Shepparton and Melbourne’s outer suburbs over the coming months.
