MAV’s NEWPRINT program is a ‘for us, by us’ music revolution – a brand-new platform all about supporting artists of colour living in outer urban and regional areas.
Following an amazing series of events at venues around town these past few months, the Shepparton NEWPRINT series is about to wrap up with one last, intimate show at Shingo’s Lounge on Friday 1 April starting 8pm till late.
With a stunning all-female line up of local Shepparton and Melbourne based talents, the Soul Sessions promises to be just that – a night of soul, rnb and gospel originals and covers featuring Ree, Jacki Tut, Cheryl Simaika and Tyra Lewis.
And where better to enjoy these beautiful voices and soul-dipped sounds than Shingo’s Lounge! Shepp’s own Shingo’s serves a fine range of boutique drinks from beers to wines to cocktails, set amongst the coolest retro vibes and best collection of pop culture memorabilia you’ll see in Shepparton or anywhere for that matter!
Funded by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria. NEWPRINT is part of On the Road Again, a Victorian Government initiative to bring live music back to Victoria.
