Created by MAV and FUSE, Out of the Park Picnic is a one-day celebration of community spirit and dynamic musicianship held in Edwardes Lake Park. It’s also the closing event of FUSE Autumn 2022, and what better way to end the festival?
Free and family-friendly, Out of the Park Picnic returns live music and performance to Darebin. It’s a safe and inclusive opportunity to soak up the skills of our uniquely diverse community in laid-back style.
Out of the Park Picnic features music royalty, including Kylie Auldist, Melbourne’s high priestess of soul; Kwame Tosuma, dynamic KTD Dance Energy Happiness instructor; Tina Demelo, dancer and choreographer; Maya Vice, DJ-in-Residence; and electric-chill trio Belove. The event is hosted by Queen Acknowledgements and curated by Neda Rahmani, with site enhancements by Neisha.
Out of the Park Picnic shines a light on local talent with origins in East Timor, Brazil, Ghana, Turkey, and more.
Bring your own picnic and blanket. and settle in for amazing music, performances, kids’ activities and some great local food trucks, all in the natural surrounds of Edwardes Lake Park.
