Multicultural Arts Victoria is currently inviting program submissions for Emerge in Yarra 2017.

Founded in 2004 as a platform for artists in MAV’s Visible Music Mentoring Program, the festival has since grown to encompass talented artists from refugee and emerging communities across the city, diverse art forms, new collaborations and commissioned works. Emerge in Yarra 2017 presents a weeklong festival from June 30 – July 8, presenting a range of exhibitions, art installations, cooking demonstrations, live music, storytelling, spoken word, dance and conversations.

Within the festival, MAV can support projects in various ways ranging from links to networks/venues, to assistance with publicity/marketing, depending on individual requirements.

In order for the submission to be considered, the project outcome must take place in the City of Yarra in the week of June 30 to July 8 2017. It must be an existing work that is ready for showing/install/performance ready.

Submission deadline: 5pm, Friday 5 May 2017.
