MAV CEO on Korea Foundation Invitation Program for Distinguished Guests in Culture

MAV CEO Jill Morgan AM was invited as one of 20 guests from 18 countries to participate in a Korea Foundation Invitation Program for Distinguished Guests in Culture from 28 February to 7 March 2015 in South Korea. Other guests were from Angola, Bangladesh, Belgium, China, DR Congo, Honduras, Hong Kong, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia, Turkey, USA and Uzbekistan.

The Program’s vision is to promote better understanding of Korea in the global community and strengthen friendships between Korea and the world.

The strategic objectives of the Program are to:
• Increase experts and research outputs in Korean Studies
• Promote collaboration between domestic and foreign organizations
• Strengthen cultural exchange programs
• Increase efficiency of resource management

The five day Program encompassed visits to major sites including Seoul Arts Centre, MBC, Gyeongbok Palace, National Museum of Korea, ICT Museum, Culture Valley, Seoul Global Centre, alongside performances and meetings with Ambassadors, Cultural Relations Managers, Commissioners and key points of contact for international exchange.
