MAV’s NEWPRINT 2 is all about supporting new producers of colour make a name for themselves in the Melbourne contemporary music scene!
NEWPRINT is back with another season of live music events featuring the most exciting new acts in the Melbourne right now. Building on the success of the first iteration, NEWPRINT 2 will support 7 new and emerging POC/CALD producers to develop and deliver unique contemporary live music events throughout Metro Melbourne.
The program is grounded by the ethos of self-determination and is all about empowering the next generation of producers of colour. Producers have full agency to curate their events their way and bring their visions to life.
MAV will support the producers through professional development opportunities, connections to venues and partners, and ongoing logistical support.
These visionaries have already been leading their own creative movements and we’re thrilled to be able to support their ideas for an even greater future.
From March 2023 to July 2023, the NEWPRINT revolution will be:
- 🔥 Showcasing fresh talent
- 🔥 Building communities
- 🔥 Growing local audiences
- 🔥 Throwing cool events
NEWPRINT 2 is presented by MAV and supported by On The Road Again, a Victorian Government initiative to bring live music back across the state, and Australia Council for the Arts.
