Mixed Media Series
Presence is an ongoing experimental series of landscapes speculating upon the concept of light; encouraging healing and integration of human experience by poeticising nature with almost otherworldly and surreal visions. Orbs of light bursting with colour are gateways to facilitate initiation of renewed sense of time, place and self. Memory and experience of place can be transformed by our observation of light as symbolic portals, leading to renewal within internal psychological landscapes.
“These artworks are part of my ongoing series titled ‘Presence’. I combined painting, photography, and digital art, creating various manifestations of light as gateways/portals, exploring its relation to perception and memory. Orbs of light appearing in these landscapes aim to poeticise nature with otherworldly and surreal visions. They aim to promote many-layered healing and integration of human experience, thus offering a positive and uplifting encounter with the audience.” - Elif Sezen
Presence #1 is currently featured as a large-scale print in the Metro Tunnel Creative Program, installed at the construction-site hoarding at Anzac station.
