Kalida’s interest in mental health topics and the morbid reality of humanity in her writing stems from personal experience. She has maintained a journal since she was eight years old. This practice is a necessary tool for coping and understanding myself better amidst the mental health struggles. Her writing, reflective of her life, is straightforward and unembellished. She hopes to communicate clearly, to shed light on the darker corners of the human experience with honesty and perhaps a touch of insight.
