Build your own EPK
FREE WORKSHOP
Monday, 12 August 2024
6:00PM - 8:00PM
MAV HQ Preston
Hosted by MAV is this artist development workshop, dedicated to the art of the EPK.
What’s an EPK? An Electronic Press Kit is a digital package of marketing materials to promote artists, projects, events and so on.
It includes official biographies, project overviews, key contact details and visual assets like photographs, graphics or video links. This package is usually shared with promoters, collaborators or potential stakeholders (funders) to ensure your brand is communicated clearly and effectively.
In this workshop, Tea and Noah from our Marketing Team will workshop the art of:
Writing your own biography
Writing your own elevator pitch
Brand design
Networking and building your own PR list
The workshop is a space to start drafting an EPK for your personal brand as an artist, or a creative project you may be working on. This workshop will give you the tools to finesse the final product in time.
Participants will have a chance to book a one-on-one with Tea and Noah later, should they wish to review their final EPK’s together.
What to expect:
This will be held at MAV’s new headquarters at Melbourne Polytechnic Preston.
Participants are to bring their own computer. For accessibility, we will be using Canva to build our EPK’s, but you can also use your preferred design program, or Word to draft as the workshop happens.
