EOI: Culturally Diverse and Visual Artists of Colour

MAV is thrilled to offer a unique opportunity for visual artists to have their existing artwork represented on a construction site hoarding as part of Metro Tunnel Creative Program, contributing to a defining moment in Melbourne’s cultural history.

How would the future really look, if we recognised ALL of the creative contributions of the past?

MAV is seeking five artworks that represent the unrivalled excellence that Culturally Diverse and Artists of Colour contribute to Victoria’s visual landscape. If selected, your work will be curated into a wider display on a construction hoarding site for six months and you will be named in an adjoining MAV display panel along with other celebrated visual artists.  

To apply you will need to: 

  • Be a visual artist with 5-10 years arts practice, from a Culturally Diverse background, based in Victoria. 

  • Have an original existing artwork that can be scaled to 1900mm x 1900mm*  

  • Consider your artwork family-friendly and vibrant/bright and minimal in negative space. 

  • Be happy to have this artwork licensed non-exclusively for a period of 6 months.  

  • Be available to attend a maximum of four meetings over the next three months to finalise plans for the design and launch, including an essential one at Darebin Arts Centre, in person on Wednesday 18 October at 2pm.

Delivery Requirements:

  • Artwork must be 300dpi

  • Artwork must be able to be scaled up for print to 1900mm x 1900mm vinyl banner without loss of resolution.

  • Artwork must be CMYK Print Ready in PDF form, with 20mm bleed.

  • The work must fully be your own and you must hold the full rights to reproduce the work.

ARTWORK LICENSE FEE: $5,300 +GST
