Jenny Zhe Chang is an award-winning contemporary artist based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Through installations, sculptures, paper cuttings and paintings, Jenny investigates the interaction between Eastern and Western ways of being.

Jenny Zhe Chang is an award-winning contemporary artist who has received more than 39 awards nationally and internationally. She represented Australia with the Yum Cha and Milk Tea installation at the South Wind Rises: Asia-Pacific Contemporary Art Exhibition, Taiwan, in 2018. She was honoured with an artist-in-residence program at the 4th International Ballet Festival in 2019.
Her recent site-specific solo installation, Light with Hope – Harmonious, in Who is Afraid of Public Space? at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) in 2022, achieved a new level of innovation and experimentation in her work. It is a significant cross-cultural contemporary installation presenting 278 hand-made lanterns with the word Harmonious, representing the 278 cultural and ethnic groups' harmonious living in Australia.
She has held 25 solo exhibitions, such as Love! From head to toe in Tian Qiao Theatre, Beijing, China 2019 – 2022, and participated in more than 65 group exhibitions, such as An Exchange With Sol Lewitt, curated by the well-known curator Regine Basha and exhibited at Cabinet Gallery, New York, in 2011, locally and internationally. Each of her artworks is original and unique.
She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the VCA, University of Melbourne, and a Master of Computing from Monash University.
